National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences has been providing the motivation to the Information Technology sector in Pakistan for the past eighteen years. The university is now established as the most prestigious institute of the country. The university produces excellent Computer Science and Engineering professionals, with a total of four campuses all over Pakistan (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar).
The IEEE student chapter at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, a society of NUCES-FAST, Lahore has a tradition to organize a weeklong activity named as IEEE-WEEK at the end of each year. The event aims to organize seminars and competitions in order to provide a platform to CS, IT & Engineering professionals & students to flourish and establish their worth in highly competitive environment of the current era. This year’s IEEE-WEEK has quite a lot to offer in different disciplines.
The IEEE-WEEK 2009 will be the first International event of its kind ever to be held in any University of Pakistan, attracting participants from India, Bangladesh, UAE, Iran, Turkey and other Middle East countries.
This year collaboration with IEEE-LUMS to hold this week jointly has also been done. The week comprises of some competitions in order to encourage more and more students to actively participate in the event.
